Our Real Estate and Construction (REC) sector
The REC sector at Moore Kingston Smith is one of the largest, by size and fees. The team currently comprises ten partners, four directors and 20 specialist team members across a range of services including tax/VAT, audit, accounts and financial advisors. The team is additionally supported full-time by a Business Development Executive.
About the role
To focus on conducting audit work for clients primarily (but not exclusively) within the Real Estate and Construction sector. Whilst this role is predominantly audit work, there is opportunity to carry out non-audit work, including tax compliance/advice and other ad-hoc services. You`ll have full involvement and be a key person in client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Manage an audit portfolio (£500k+) ensuring that for each client: -an audit file is produced that meets the ISA`s and the firms quality requirements in all respects, -all deadlines are met, -there is pro-active engagement and communication with the client resulting in high quality client service.
- Plan jobs and organise assignments to ensure the work is carried out in the most efficient way possible whilst considering firm wide productivity.
- Provide clear instruction and constructive feedback to team members in a timely manner.
- Invest in the development of junior members of the team, passing on knowledge and experience for their growth.
- Act as training manager and mentor to allocated trainees.
- Assist with the firm Real Estate and construction businesses development activities.
- Assist with billing procedures and debt collection where appropriate and in liaison with client partner.
