The Audit Quality, Risk and Technical team plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and risk management of our audit services.
We provide technical support to the Audit Business Line, ensuring that quality underpins the delivery of audits and mitigates risks to the credibility and reputation of the firm. Our team produces methodology guidance, support materials, and guidance, as well as develops and delivers the technical learning program for our audit professional staff. We maintain the firm's outsourced audit software, ensuring it complies with Auditing Standards and Regulations and meets our global network's obligations. AQRT also provides support to partners and staff through advice on ad-hoc audit and financial reporting queries, mandatory risk reviews, and consultations. We are responsible for internal and external monitoring, maintaining a constructive relationship with regulators, and conducting internal quality monitoring.
Responsibilities:
As an Audit Technical Senior Manager, you will be a key point of contact and support for client-facing partners and staff. Your responsibilities will include responding to complex technical queries, performing higher-risk mandatory reviews and consultations, and undertaking second reviews of responses to technical queries. You will also monitor and research developments in technical standards and regulations, develop methodology guidance and templates, deliver training and regular communications, provide technical input into the selection and implementation of new audit software tools, and perform various quality monitoring activities. Additionally, you will represent the firm externally in technical meetings and forums.
About you:
- You are an experienced senior manager in a central technical and quality function in an Audit Firm.
- You are committed to quality and possess sound technical competence in auditing and financial reporting matters.
- You demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability and have a track record of delivering key quality projects.
- You promote professional skepticism and a challenge mindset in interactions with Audit RIs and teams.
- You recognize the importance of developing people and contributing to the growth of the team through coaching and mentoring skills.
