Job description
Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Partner and working in conjunction our Senior IT Technician, the principal responsibility for this role will be to assist with networking and technical support to enable the smooth running of the IT network.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to jobs that arise through the helpdesk ticketing system;
- Set up new users as and when required;
- Support all hardware/software within the office;
- Support and oversee the Net2Access Control software system;
- Monitor and maintain web access, email filtering and Anti-virus updates;
- VPN, remote working
- Servers
- Disaster recovery
- VMWare, Proxmox, Know4Be training, Bitdefender etc
- Other ad hoc duties that may be required;
- It is a mandatory requirement to operate on a daily basis within the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the ISO:27001 IT& Data Security Systems;
- Understand the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO:27001 IT & Data Security Systems and to maintaina good working knowledge; and
- Have an awareness of how departmental procedures, documents and record keeping have a positive or negative effect on the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO:27001 IT & Data Security Systems.
Other Duties
- Be aware of developments within the IT industry; and
- Understand the firm’s policies and procedures and adhere to them in daily working practice.
Key Skills
- Have at least 4 years’ experience in an IT environment;
- Experience of Microsoft Windows Active Directory;
- Experience of Server Configuration;
- Experience of VMWare and Proxmox virtualisation platforms;
- Experience of Exchange Server 2016 (2010);
- Experience of Windows 10/11
- Good working experience of Linux
- Desktop support experience.
- Experience of Microsoft Teams.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and MicrosoftOffice 2016 onwards.
- Confident in communicating effectively with staff at all levels; and
- Have a genuine interest in IT and industry developments.
